With a 20 minute pressure rating, our Fire Rated doors have the integrity you deserve, while also matching the style of the regular interior doors in our home. Four smooth coats of white primer prepares for the final steps of lightly sanding(with fine grit sandpaper and removing dust with dry, soft cloth), then completing with a final layer of any water or oil-based product.

Fire Rated doors are ideal in entryways between your garage and living space. These doors, while having the 1-3/4"thickness as most Exterior doors, are not meant for environmental exposure such as sun or moisture.

Doors with Jamb Kit have an approximate 8-10 week Processing Lead Time. Doors with Jamb Kit are considered custom as they are cut and produced to your specifications. Custom orders are non-returnable, non-refundable, do not qualify for any discounts, and cannot be cancelled once order is placed.

Industry Standard is that you add at least 2" to the overall dimension of the door size, to determine your RO. For example, if you order (1) 30"W x 80"H size door, your RO needs to be at least 32"W x 82"H for a single door application. If you are ordering for a double door application, and want to use (2) 30"W x 80"H size doors inside your one opening, your RO needs to be at least 62"W x 82"H.

Features of our primed doors:

  1. No raised wood grain when painting – smoother finish.
  2. No veneer bubbles from water based paints.
  3. MDF stile and rail veneers are a much harder surface than pine, less susceptible to dents or damage.
  4. Water based (latex) paints can be used on the primed doors. Oil based primer and paint is not required on the primed doors as it is on the clear pine doors. This can reduce painting expense.
